FACTURIER DE L'HÔTEL REGINA, PARIS Steel, chromed metal, rectangular shape, with half-relief decoration of foliate scrolls. Opens with the key (present), then a tab to open the glass and engage the scrolling invoices. A window reveals the invoices. Marked EGRY, Datton, Ohio. In the rear flap, inscription: "Order supplies only From Egry Register Co. Dayton, Ohio, USA". Bearing the inscription and emblem "CCR". Height. 16.5 cm; Width. 48 cm; Depth. 24 cm. c. 1900. With invoices from the Hotel Regina. PROVENANCE. Hôtel Régina. 2, Place de Rivoli (now Place des Pyramides), Paris, 1st arrondissement. Designed from 1898 to 1900 for the Universal Exhibition in a Second Empire building, the hotel opened on March 1, 1900.
