LÉON ÉMILE BOUCHET (1880-1940) CGT COMPAGNIE GÉNÉRALE TRANSATLANTIQUE - PAQUEBOT NORMANDIE PRIVATE FIRST CLASS CABIN HEATING MACHINE Wood, no visible frame, scrolled back, standing on four slightly curved tapered legs. Manufactured by Bûcheron. It bears the stencilled number "264" and the "IDF" stamp under the seat, the cab reference. Designed in 1933 for the liner Normandie, which entered service in May 1935. Height. 67 cm; Width. 44 cm; Depth. 47 cm. Recent velvet upholstery. This chair was later reused on the liner Ile-de-France during its refit between 1947 and 1949.
