GEORGES PELTIER Plan de Paris à vol d'oiseau, artistic reproduction in elevation of all the streets, houses and artistic treasures of Paris. In four independent strips (79.5 x 104 cm). Blondel La Rougery éditeurs, 7, rue Saint-Lazare, Paris. c. 1950. Total dimensions: 159.5 x 208 cm. Some tears. Famous and impressive plan of Paris, originally drawn up by architect Georges Peltier between 1920 and 1940 and regularly updated and published until the 1970s by Blondel La Rougery. The author drew inspiration from Louis Bretez's famous "Turgot plan", drawn up in 1739. Paris is depicted from a bird's-eye view, with all buildings and monuments shown in perspective and elevation, so that they can be easily recognized. You can see the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile, Notre-Dame and the Palais de Justice.
