PARISIAN APOTHECARY'S BALANCE Cast iron painted in red, the base with a doucine, the flail framed by an allegory of justice, Mercury with the Caduceus and surmounted by the crowned coat of arms of Paris, in brass, supporting two copper plates. The base bears the inscription "Balance tout acier, brevetée SGDG, 5 kilog". c. 1900. 27 x 49.5 x 20.5 cm.
