EIFFEL TOWER, UNIVERSAL EXHIBITION, 1889 Beautiful model in cut wood, stained mahogany, with openwork decoration of lattices, openwork poly-lobed motifs. The platforms have an openwork floor, decorated with with quartefoil decoration. The neo-Moorish balustrades of the first and second platforms platforms are decorated with the coat of arms of the City of Paris topped by the crown of Cybele. The balustrade of the first platform has a circular a circular space decorated with a crown with a crown of quatrefoils, which can accommodate the dial and the movement of a clock. The four legs are joined by a circular openwork motif, decorated with foliage. The tower is topped by a gloriette with three-lobed arches. This type of model was offered to visitors at the World's Fair of the World's Fair who were discovering the Eiffel Tower. 1889. 106.5 x 44.5 x 44.5 cm.
